Privacy Policy
Your Term is yours.
Term is designed around on-device processing and Apple services. It does not contain advertising, third-party analytics, or an account system operated by Term.
At a glance
Term does not collect your Terms, Commitments, tasks, goals, calendar events, location, Health data or workout details on servers operated by Term. The app uses local storage and, for particular features, Apple frameworks and services that you control through your device and Apple Account.
Processed on-device
Data that stays on your devices
The following information is processed locally by Term for the features you choose to use:
- Terms, Commitments, schedules, completion history, plans, projects, tasks, goals, milestones and app settings.
- Calendar events read from calendars you select, for display alongside your timeline.
- Your device location for calculating prayer times and, during a live Cardio session, distance and pace.
- Motion and step information used for step-based Quotas.
- Health and workout information used for workout sessions, heart rate, calories and completed workout records.
- Data exchanged directly between your iPhone, Apple Watch, widgets and Live Activities.
Term does not use location for advertising or tracking. Prayer times are calculated locally. Live location tracking is used only while the related Cardio functionality is active.
Stored or handled by Apple services
iCloud, Health, notifications and purchases
Some data may be stored or handled by Apple when you use the corresponding feature:
- iCloud and CloudKit: Term's app data can sync through the private iCloud account signed in on your devices. App settings may also sync through Apple's iCloud key-value store. Term does not send this app data to a separate Term-operated service.
- Apple Health: with permission, Term reads step count and workout metrics and writes completed Set and Cardio workouts. Health data is managed by HealthKit and your Health app permissions.
- Calendars: with permission, Term reads events through EventKit from calendars available on your device. You choose which calendars appear in Term.
- Notifications: Term schedules local reminders through Apple's UserNotifications framework. Delivery is subject to your device settings and Apple's systems.
- App Store: subscriptions, lifetime purchases, purchase restoration and entitlement status are processed by Apple through StoreKit. Term receives the transaction and entitlement information needed to unlock Premium; it does not receive your payment-card details.
Apple's handling of information is governed by your agreements with Apple and Apple's privacy policies.
Sent to us
No app telemetry or Term account
The current version of Term has no Term-operated account system, analytics service, advertising SDK, crash-reporting SDK, or telemetry endpoint. The app does not send your activity or content to Term.
If you contact support, the information you choose to include in your message is sent to the support address and used to respond to your request. Do not include Health data or other sensitive information unless it is genuinely necessary.
Sent to third parties
No advertising or analytics partners
Term does not send app data to third-party advertising, analytics, data-broker or marketing services. Aside from the Apple services described above, the current app contains no third-party service SDKs that receive your data.
If you ask Term to display a city or region label for your prayer-time location, it uses Apple's reverse-geocoding service to turn the selected coordinate into that label. That request is made to Apple, not to Term.
Your choices
Control, export and deletion
You can change access to Calendars, Location, Health and Notifications in iOS Settings or the relevant Apple app. You can export or import Term data from within Term. You can delete records inside the app, and you can delete the app's local data by removing the app from your devices. Data already synced to iCloud is managed through your Apple Account and iCloud controls.
Exported files are created at your request and leave Term only when you choose where to save or share them. You are responsible for keeping those files secure.

It remembers your Light/Dark choice in your own browser, and nothing else. As with any website, the hosting provider may process basic connection information such as IP address and request details to deliver the site securely.
